Configure/Setup the 3dsmax custom scene type in BNR:

First you will need to configure the command line setting for this scene type. Once you have completed this step - you will not need to do this again - unless you change the command line paths on the server.

    1. Select the File->Edit Custom Types

    2. Now you can select the different types - Select the '3DS Max' type.

    3. You need to confirm all the settings are correct for the custom scene type:
(NOTE: if the settings are not selectable - please click the 'UnLock Settings')

    Check the custom scene 'Settings'
Set the defaults for the Frames: (Begin Frame, End Frame, Stepping, Frames per job)
Set the defautls for the Groups and Priority.

When the scene is loaded into BNR - it will use these defaults - If the Frame range is different in the scene - you can modify the frame range after the Scene is loaded - you don't need to change these defaults each time.

    4. Check the custom scene 'Output'

Set the defaults for the Frame size.
Don't change the Image Format Array or other settings in the Frame Checking box
This has been designed to work with the 3dsmax command line rendering system.

When the scene is loaded into BNR - it will use these defaults for the Frame size - BUT
This can be changed to fix the size you need

You will need to change the 'Custom Exe' to the file you have installed on your system.

This is the command line arguments that will be used for this custom type.

You should not need to change any of these settings
This has been designed to work with the 3dsmax command line rendering system.

If you have a additional switch you need - you can add this to the 'extra switches' line.

    7.  Select Ok to save all the settings.

    8. Now you will need to set all the Render Nodes to support this custom scene type.
