What is ButterflyNetRender?
ButterflyNetRender is a popular network rendering controller for
Lightwave, Maya, Messiah Studio, Modo, 3DSmax, XSI, Digital Fusion,
After Effects, Cinema 4D and more...
ButterflyNetRender includes a Automatic setup wizard for LightWave 3D, Modo and Messiah which
really takes the pain out of setting up a render farm.
Setup of other application types is also easy; Simply select the location of the render executable and the setup template contains all the default settings required. These settings can also be modified if desired.

Overview:ButterflyNetRender™ (BNR) is a popular network rendering controller for Lightwave, Maya, Messiah Studio, Modo, 3DSmax, XSI, Digital Fusion, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Nuke, and more... Feature summary:The Studio and Professional versions includes node Grouping, Priority and Split Frames (you can speed up rendering time for a single frame by distributing it across more than 1 rendernode) - ie: slice the frame into parts and ButterflyNetRender will automatically reassemble after the parts are complete. The Studio versions also include unlimited render nodes and the Custom batch commands, which will let you control any command line console executable. ***See bottom of this page for Screen captures Applications:BNR is comprised of 2 applications: ‘ButterflyNetRender – Controller’: This will be installed on one machine and will be used the Control the Rendering scenes - It will communication with the BNR Clients ‘ButterflyNetRender – Client’: This will be installed on all the machines that will be used for ‘rendering’ the animation frames. The BNR Client can have 1 or more ‘rendernodes’ - that can be assigned to a ‘CPU’ on the machine. Network Diagram:
